アート・ペッパーのミーツ・ザ・リズムセクションという定評ある名盤のオリジナルモノラルLPで、もはや入手困難なものです。ステレオ盤はよく見かけますが、ペッパーのアルトサックスが左に傾きすぎているため違和感があるのが実情です。オリジナルモノラル盤で聴くと、ピアノ・ベース・ドラムとペッパーのサックスが渾然一体となり圧倒的迫力で迫ってきますので、ステレオ盤との違いが明確に分かります。ヤフオクでもオリジナルモノラル盤は出品されることは無いと思います。音質極めて良好です。Contemporary Cー3532オリジナル盤です。都内の某レコード店では売値は90000円で展示されています。ですが盤面にキズ、擦れは見当たらず、音質極めて良好です。早い者勝ちです。メルカリに1割取られ、送料もかかりますので、これ以上の値下げは無理です。
